Induction highlights Brownfield graduate joining Texas Bar
Victoria Sanchez daughter of Gloria and Seferino Salas Jr and Gilbert Gutierrez of Brownfield and a 1996 Brownfield High School graduate was inducted into the State Bar of Texas by the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. She earned a JD from the University of Houston Law School in May serving as Chief Managing Editor for the Journal of Texas Consumer Law. She holds a BA in Government and Communications from Angelo State University and an associate degree from South Plains College. She and husband Amador live in Houston.

Terry County Crime Line Seeks Help in Burglary Cases
The Terry County Crime Line Inc. offers a reward for information leading to arrests in two burglaries. One at a building 0.25 mile west of Texas Highway 137 on County Road 430 occurred between Nov 18 and 20 and saw weed eaters a hand tool set and an air impact gun stolen. The second burglary was at a habitation 1.5 miles west of Farm Market Road 303 on County Road 450 on Nov 20 and involved rifles a mountain bike and a DVD player.

County programs seek to spread Christmas cheer
Terry County runs two Christmas aid programs Goodfellows and Christmas Tree for Kids seeking donations and names of needy families. Citizens may drop off or mail cash and gift donations by December 15 and December 11 respectively at Brownfield City Hall Willis' office and the law enforcement center. Gifts will be distributed by county officials on December 23.
