Harvest underway in Terry County cotton crop 1986

Harvest is starting slowly in Terry County as 11 gins surveyed by The NEWS reported 18,023 bales processed so far this season. Brownfield Goodfellows seek toys for Christmas drive

The Brownfield Goodfellows, now in their 23rd year, ask locals to donate toys or cash to ensure every eligible child receives two toys and a family meal. Alpha Omega Christmas Home Tour planned for Dec 4

Alpha Omega Club hosts its annual Christmas home tour from 7 to 9 p m visiting four Brownfield residences decorated for Yuletide. Stops include Mr and Mrs Kelly Moore 1807 Carter Drive Gary and Jeanette Awbrey Webb and Pecan third house on right John and Lana Perkins 1203 S Howell and Mr and Mrs Howard Yandell 1306 E Hester. The tour ends at I Love Country store 415 W Main. Local visitors welcome.
