Alpha Omega Study Club Christmas Home Tour set for Thursday
The Alpha Omega Study Club hosts a seven stop Christmas Home Tour starting at 6 30 p m Thursday December 3. Stops include homes on Hester Broadway Buckley and Howell with a finishing party at the Terry County Heritage Museum 600 E Cardwell and door prizes from local sponsors. Proceeds support GFWC Women s History Center Texas Women's Library Conservation Recycling and local charities including Girlstown U S A and M D Anderson Hospital. Tickets are 4 per person from any club member.

The Terry County Grand Jury met Monday and handed down indictments on nine individuals for offenses including driving while intoxicated and attempted murder. Bonds ranged from 3,000 to 40,000 dollars. one additional indictment was deferred. Noon Lions to host First Brownfield Lady Cubs Tournament
Eighteen teams from 11 South Plains and Permian Basin schools compete in varsity and junior varsity divisions in Brownfield High School’s tournament Thurs through Sat Dec 3 5. Tickets are 3 per game, 7.50 for one day, or 15 for three days. The Brownfield Varsity Lady Cubs open at 8 30 p.m. Thursday versus Lockney with hopes of advancing to a Friday 6 p.m. contest.
