Brownfield to Hold Special Election On Local Tax
The Brownfield City Council adopts Ordinance No 1395 ordering a special election for a one percent local sales and use tax within the city. The election is set for September 17, 1968 at City Hall with David Nicholson as Presiding Judge. Ballots will offer FOR and AGAINST adoption and follow state election laws. Notices to be published twice and posted at polling places.
