World Trade Center review shows Stone’s mixed but rescuing touch
The piece surveys Oliver Stone’s film World Trade Center amid a career arc that includes Platoon and Nixon. It notes Stones uneven track with past films and credits Cage and Pena for strong performances, while praising city visuals and claustrophobic crisis scenes, yet criticizes some dialogue and nonessential subplots. The review weighs the film’s earnest attempt to honor disaster survivors against moments of tonal drift.
