Wedding Gown Preservation How to care for an heirloom dress
The guide advises starting preservation soon after the wedding by using a gown preservation specialist, inspecting the cleaned dress for beadwork, and storing it in an acid free box with white tissue. Include the headpiece wrapped separately and keep the box in a cool dry place, avoiding hot attics or damp basements. Wash keepsakes promptly before storage. Follow care labels for delicate items.
