Chamber Center Access for Brownfield Members Decided
The Brownfield Chamber of Commerce will make the center available to member schools in Terry County for events such as football games. Ann Hearn was named President Elect, to assume the presidency in January 1996, replacing incoming president-elect Jack Cofer who recently resigned. Harvest Festival chair Susie Bray outlined the October 14 event with queen candidates from local clubs and ticket sales beginning in August for queens and September for representing organizations. The festival marks the thirtieth anniversary since 1965 under Chamber sponsorship with a Mardi Gras theme. The board postponed a welcome reception for new area teachers and discussed revising the dues schedule to keep memberships equitable.
