U S Representative Kent Hance spoke at Brownfield Intermediate School answering questions on 1986 plans and the upcoming 1985 farm bill. He noted Texas has strong support in Charles Stenholm and stressed the need for action on international debt and farm policy.
About 40 Brownfield Independent School District residents, mainly teachers, attended a two hour tax hearing on potential school tax increases near 8 percent.
