Brownfield Meadow and Wellman Union students return to class with Wellman Union starting Monday Meadow on Tuesday and Brownfield on Wednesday. Meet The Teacher Nights are planned Tuesday at Colonial Heights 5 pm and Oak Grove 6 pm.
The Brownfield Pilots Association hosts the eighth annual Fly In at Terry County Airport next Saturday starting with a 7 AM breakfast. About 60 pilots from West Texas display aircraft, with rides at $8 and proceeds funding terminal upgrades. featured acts include West Texas Sky Divers, Ray Cooper, Abernathy parachute team, and gyrocopter displays.
The Terry County Old Settlers gather for the 46th reunion on Saturday, August 26 at the Brownfield American Legion Hall. Terry County Clerk Ann Willis chairs the event, starting at 10 a.m. with attendees from Terry County and beyond. Cost is $12 per person.
