Newspapers Sue to Block Texas Open Records Law
Texas newspapers filed Aug 6 in Travis County seeking an injunction against Section 13 of SB 1069 that hides motor vehicle accident reports. The suit targets the measure as unconstitutional and argues it impedes public access to records owned by taxpayers, naming Texas Press Association and Texas Daily Newspaper Association as plaintiffs and Dan Morales as a defendant.
