Terry County approves 18.1 percent tax hike
After a lengthy discussion on Monday the Terry County Commissioners voted to raise the tax rate from 41.7 cents to 53.7 cents per $100 valuation, citing a 9.7 percent drop in total property values driven by mineral value losses. The increase funds maintenance and operation and the interest and sinking fund to preserve last year’s revenue.
