County tax base slides to 833 million in 1990
Auditor Alan Bayer reports a shrinking tax base from over a billion two years ago to 833,336,754 in 1990. Man Arrested After Runaway Tractor Incident
Jesus Manuel Rodriquez, 22, was arrested by Terry County Deputies for public intoxication and suspected tractor theft after a scuffle at his brother’s Brownfield home. The incident followed a Friday night blaze at Plaza Restaurant, with fire crews containing the $50,000 electrical fire within minutes. Rodriquez’s theft charges are pending. another arrest, Larry L. Harrelson, 29, also occurred for public intoxication west of Brownfield on Hwy 380. Bond for Harrelson was $400.
