Spanish Pied Piper to be staged Sept. 15 at Middle School
Brownfield readers will see Felipe el Flautista the Spanish production of The Pied Piper of Hamlin on Thursday Sept 15 at 7 30 p m in the Middle School Auditorium. More than 100 participants from last year’s Elementary Spanish Enrichment Program join the cast and are invited with parents and friends to hear plans and enrollment for this year’s classes.

Rebekah Lodge 56 hosted a salad supper at the lodge hall on August 1. Noble Grand Opal Higdon presided, with hostesses Maxine Drummond and Opal Higdon. Members voted to send contributions to the Rebekah orphan home and the retirement home.

Birth of Erin Ray Dyer in Brownfield
Mr and Mrs Gaylon Dyer of Brownfield announce the birth of a daughter Erin Ray born at 8 12 am Aug 3 at Brownfield Regional Medical Center. She weighed six pounds and was 19 inches long with a brother David two years old. Grandparents Mr and Mrs Houston Atchley and Mrs Sonny Dyer all of Brownfield. Great grandparents Mr and Mrs Thomas Harper of California. Viola Newcomb installed as new member transferred from Abilene. Sixteen members attended the meeting. Next regular session set for 8 pm Aug 15.
