High Plains optimism grows with timely rains boost cotton

August and September will determine final yield potential as growers assess fertilization and possible fruit shedding before full speed returns. The 2004 High Plains Ag Expo in Dumas August 24–26 will showcase 250 exhibits, with CEU opportunities and conferences on Cotton, Corn, and Beef co hosted by Plains Cotton Growers and Texas Cooperative Extension.
