The Brownfield Crime Line authorized a $300 reward for information on a shooting in northeast Brownfield Monday afternoon. Alan Carter was wounded riding a motorcycle at Mesquite and Lanny Streets, transported to BRMC with an abdomen wound and hospitalized. A separate report notes a 1980 Chevrolet pickup windshield smashed, a .22 rifle taken, valued at 160, and a 1981 Chevrolet pickup watch and tools valued at 1,000 stolen on North B Street.
