BCISD moves to settle teacher pay plan this week

BCISD administrators finalize a plan to compensate teachers for summer staff development time under TEA rules. A May 4 meeting will review guidelines awaiting school board approval. Four County Co op track day set at Cub Stadium

The Four County Special Services Co op will hold its annual track and field day at 10 a.m. this Friday at Cub Stadium in Brownfield. The Sprints event assists handicapped students from Brownfield and nine other districts, coordinated by Four County Co op staff with volunteers from civic groups. Proceeds from a crafting sale by the Training Center fund the Sprints. donations support the effort with a Brownfield address for contributions.

Transfer deadline set for school district transfers

Commissioners hire attorney to litigate federal lawsuit

Terry County commissioners hired El Paso attorney Luther Jones to represent the county in any future federal litigation after a local plaintiff, Emily Perez, challenged the March 10 primary election for redistricting voidness due to lack of DOJ pre clearance. Jones is associated with redistricting planner Mark Turnbaugh. The decision followed an executive session as County Clerk Ann Willis noted the suit had been filed but cit ation not yet served.
