Latricia Emery to wed David Webb in Calvary Baptist Church

The engaged couple Lana Latricia Emery and David Glenn Webb plan a June 2 wedding at 7:30 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church. Sgt Nelson Transferred To Germany

Army staff sergeant Walter P. Nelson 27 son of Mrs Clara V Nelson Mineral Wells recently assigned to the 3rd Armored Division in Germany. He is a maintenance man in the 3rd Battalion of the division 36th Infantry near Butzbach. He entered the army in May 1965 completed basic training at Fort Polk La and was last stationed at Fort Hood. His wife Virginia lives in Lamesa.

Terry County to auction two pieces of equipment in Brownfield

Terry County Texas will sell by sealed bids a 1961 Caterpillar D-6 Bulldozer and a 1969 Lowbed Hyster trailer at the Terry County Machinery Barn Brownfield. Inspections are allowed at the Brownfield site. Bids require a $100 cashier’s check and must be received by 10:00 a.m. May 22 1972.

First group of municipal employees graduate at NTSU event

Mrs. Zelma Miller was among thirty Texas city clerks and secretaries who graduated Thursday evening from North Texas State University's institute for executive development for municipal staff. The four year program, begun in 1968, aims to improve job performance through seminars and independent study. The ceremony at Denton Country Club concluded a two day seminar titled The Challenge for Efficiency Controlling the Paper Bureaucracy in Local Government.

Brownfield Jaycees meet as Long presides in April noon session

Jaycees board in Brownfield met in the Chiro Room with Bill Long presiding at the noon meeting on April 24. New member David Winkles welcomed. visitors Danny Fisher and Joe Cloud attended. They pledged 75 to the little league, noted progress on the civic building, and Mickey Parkinson won Jaycee of the Month. Lloyd Little read a Boy Scouts letter thanking the club for trophies and derby judging support.
