Farmers Urged To Protest Truck Driver Regulations
Lewis Waters president of the Terry County Farm Bureau urges farmers and ranchers to tell the federal government how proposed farm truck driver regulations would affect operations. Letters should be sent to John A. Volpe, Secretary, U S Department of Transportation, Washington DC 20515. Regulations would require drivers to be 21, hold a physician certificate, pass a road test and safety exam, disclose violations, and employers must verify driving records and maintain driver files.
