Waller County assigns a total bond quota of 215000 with 115000 for E bonds. The Brookshire and Pattison area receives 70000, per Max Wander local bond drive chairman.
USO quota raised at Brookshire as J C Day local chairman gathers funds. Day reports $1430.35 sent to county chairman L C Hawkins, noting a $75 credit from Humble Oil and Refining Company to the fund. Son Lomax Mikeska, in the air force, has moved to embarkation port for overseas duty.
Brown and Root holds a contract to asphalt three miles of road from the railroad to the Humble Oil and Refining Company plant recycling plant. The project costs about $40,000 and is funded by the oil company. Completion is expected in about fifteen working days.
At the annual conference in Houston Rev. G. Z. Sadler was reassigned to the Brookshire charge covering Pattison and Fulshear. Congregation and local citizens approve the decision and welcome the Sadler family to the community.
