Waller County Census Reports Shifts in 1930 Population

The 1930 census for Waller County shows a net population drop of 769 with Precinct 5 containing Patterson and Brookshire recording an increase of 728. Precincts 1 through 4 and 6 all show decreases in population, while Hempstead and Brookshire remain unincorporated. If the total population fails to exceed ten thousand on recheck, two county offices may merge under the State constitution.

County Road Fund Raised by Car License Revenue

W. T. Sartain turned over to the County Treasurer the sum of 17,063 collected from 1930 car licenses. The amount will be credited to the Road and Bridge fund of the county.
