Dozier, born February 7 1893, married Mary Miller in 1915 and was a farmer and later partner in Dozier's Barbecue and Grocery. Surviving are his wife Mary. eight children Edward N. and William W. of Fulshear and John M. Dozier of Korea. daughter Luvine Holmes. twelve grandchildren. four great grandchildren. two brothers Elmer Dozier of Odessa and Lyle Dozier of Memphis. a sister Jane Noward of Fulshear. Burial was in Mulshaer Cemetery with Schmidt Funeral Home of Brookshire in charge.

The thirtieth annual Katy division meeting on June 10 featured Ralph Newman who outlined a new rice grading service for better sample descriptions.
