In Brookshire Independent School District 19755 in War Saving Stamps is slated to be disposed of by the Government before January 1 1919. W F Donald named sub chair for the County district urges broad cooperation. It is urged every man woman and child in the United States invest not less than 20 in War Savings Stamps by year’s start. Road crew to repair Hempstead streets for 35 days

County road overseer John Blosengame and team from Hempstead are in the precinct for about 35 days to work on roads. While present, the alley from the Post Office to Muske's Furniture Store should be filled to improve health and odor, at a small cost.

Miss Carrie Huggins hosted a social week in Fulshear for Miss Margaret Hendricks recently returned from Denton. Attendees included Misses Dot Meyers Aline Austin Fay Wooley from Richmond and a group from Katy with Thos Alderson Eugene Harris and Ed Huggins.

Fulshear Leads in Patriotism and War Efforts

Fulshear shows strong patriotic zeal by opening an air flag ceremony with legal and civic speakers and by actively supporting Red Cross work begun after war entry. The town oversubscribed Liberty Bond quotas, donated 900 dollars cash and 300 dollars in pledges, conserved wheat, and formed a Thrift Stamp Society aiming to exceed a 12 000 district goal. Mrs. T. Hobby Club Formed To Back Will Hobby For Governor

Last Tuesday afternoon twenty four ladies met at the School House to organize the Hobby Club. The group aims to promote Will Hobby for Governor and elected officers including Mrs W J Cooper as Chairman Mrs E A Cooper as Vice Chairman Mrs L W Bains as Secretary and Mrs C C Garrett as Treasurer.
