Douglas Whatley reports thirty three dogs vaccinated last Saturday in Pattison. Many dogs were not brought, so an additional vaccination session is planned for Saturday morning June 38 between 8:30 and 12:00 at the Pattison school workshop. A minimum fee will cover expenses per W. C. Norris.

PTA Study Club Holds Final Session in Brookshire
The Brookshire PTA Study Club met in the closing session at the home of Mrs. Andrew Highrabedian on May 16, 1950. Mrs. Lester Williams spoke on Do Manners Count concluding that good manners express friendliness and consideration for others. Fourteen members received certificates for hours spent studying parent teacher relations. Members praised the benefit of the study and association. Mrs. Highrabedian provided a sandwich and cold drinks.

Seventeen Month Old Child Drowns In Horse Trough
Daniel Leroy Svach aged 17 months drowned in a horse trough at the Bennie Miller farm on a Thursday afternoon May 25. The child was recovered and taken to Brookshire where a Resuscitator failed after one hour and forty five minutes. Survivors include parents Ed and Mrs Svach sister Judy La Verne Svach and grandparents Albert Mitcham Earnestine Svach. Funeral at Bennie Miller home with Rev. Lee Miller officiating, interment Pattison cemetery.

4 H Booster Barbecue Serves 250 in Benefit Event

Katy Mayor Arthur Miller joined Harris County mayors on the Galena Park side of the Ship Channel for the $8,000,000 Washburn Tunnel opening ceremony on May 27.
