At a Hempstead school trustees meeting Dr. M A Jones and B Schwarz Jr reported a board valuation of 977 000. H A Mathews was appointed to fill a vacancy. Urban will resign Jan 1 to take County Surveyor office. An audit covering three years to Jan 1 1929 was granted with Gaston of Travia County contracted. Delinquent tax collection contract also awarded.

Schumacher Buried Friday in Pattison Cemetery
W R Schumacher 39 died in Houston last Thursday from pneumonia and was buried Friday at 8 p.m. in Muske cemetery Pattison. Rev Schear of the Lutheran church officiated. He was born on a Pattison area farm and married Annie Sturm on May did 1916. Two children Andrew age 16 and a baby daughter Io Lorraine survived by parents Mr and Mrs R Schumacher two brothers Ed and Otto and three sisters Mrs J B Greer Pattison Mrs Mattie Goydasik Houston and Mrs Ambrose Kolah San Felipe along with nieces and nephews. Funeral conducted by A H Muske.
