Frank Stasny and son and Don Stasny Jr. attended Brookshire business Saturday afternoon. Emil Sadelsky and sister Emly toured Needville last weekend.
Last Monday evening W D Bains entertained at bridge in honor of Mr and Mrs R R Bains of Baytown. Guests included Mesdames Grad Taylor Day Bennett Wander Dalton Bailey Bains Stricklen Anderson Dewees Tubbs and Miss Tubbs with Messrs Gra Taylor Wander Bailey Agopian Anderson Buies. The honorees received the guest prize and a chicken salad supper was served.
D Mills serves as Notary Public in the Farmers State Bank office. The arrangement places the notary service within the bank premises, facilitating document authentication for customers.
Last Wednesday Mrs EA Stricklen hosted a bridge gathering at her parents home with guests including Elbert Dalton Claude Cliett Whit Bains Chessel Gra J B Anderson J C Day J C Muse Ernest Henry Jack Bailey Miss Joyce Stagg and Miss Jimmie Dell Tubbs. Miss Tubbs won high score and Mrs Bennett had low score. An ice fruit course was served after the games.
The new home of the Service Garage is being completed by Ed Rapsilver the contractor and Frank Lange the proprietor. He will move stock in and have the place ready to serve the public by today Friday and invites friends to inspect the new business.
George Harrison is laying down new larger mains to extend service through the business district. The bigger pipes should raise water pressure at hydrants and help reduce fire hazards citywide.
