Primary dates fixed for August six and twenty seven
Jackson Mississippi June 23 The Democratic State Executive Committee fixed August 6 and 27 as the state primaries. The move met general candidate satisfaction though it defies a Supreme Court view that only registered voters four months before the primary may participate. White Democrats may vote if registered by July 3, boosting total turnout to an estimated 10 000 to 20 000. The committee plans to canvass first primary returns August 1.
