Brookhaven News Teems With Local Happenings
In Brookhaven this week a flood of small items highlights community life. Mrs Kate Sherman is mentioned, new fences appear around homes, and Dr Bowen’s peas suffer frost damage. Mrs Milam and Mrs Inex Stour are ill, while plenty of groceries and fruit juices are sold at local stores. J R Perkins hawks Plow and Planet Cultivator hardware, with Meade & Martin offering jewelry and drugs. The Presbyterian church notes a protracted meeting led by Rev. Rossborough, and locals plan a Citizens Association meeting to report on a railroad meeting.
