The Brookfield Lions Host the first annual Hag and Stag party at National Hall on Wednesday October 27 from 8 p.m. to late. Proceeds support the Brookfield Lions Youth Aid program with a winter activity drive including square dances apple bobbing turkey trots and Halloween stunts. Hollywood PTA honors fathers at a gathering in the Hollywood Community house on Tuesday October 12 at 8 p.m. Wilbur Christians of LaGrange spoke on The Rediscovery of Responsibility. The Lovett school kitchen band performed. Hostesses were Mmes Jerrick Mitchell Konicek Oleksy Spensley and Sehilling.
The Hollywood Woman's club will sponsor its annual card party on Friday, Oct. 22, at 1 30 p m at the Hollywood Community house. Dessert luncheon will be served. Frank Bishop aged 69 died Sunday morning after a heat attack at work. He had foreman duties at Henry S. Lytton clothing in Oak Park for 30 years and recently moved to Ridgeland Avenue with his sister. Survived by wife Josephine, daughter Libby Johnson of Joliet, and sons William of Chicago and Joseph W. of Congress Park.
Congregational Church hosts family night on Sunday October 24 with a 5 30 p m potluck supper. Attendees should bring sandwiches and a covered dish to pass. Entertainment and an organizational session follow the meal. Bring family and friends.
