Seventh science talent search announced for high school seniors
Announcements are sent to principals of 27000 schools nationwide for the seventh annual science talent search. Forty finalists will be chosen to travel to Washington in spring to compete for 11000 Westinghouse science scholarships toward college level studies. Sponsored by the Westinghouse Educational Foundation and conducted by Science Clubs of America through Science Service. Principals and teachers urged to encourage qualified seniors.

Cancer Society Forms Speakers' Bureau in Illinois
Mrs Hurley Mitchell is a member of the newly formed speakers bureau of the Illinois Cancer Society. The society started an extensive education program to reduce cancer deaths. Officials believe personal audience contact across the Chicago area will stress regular examinations to prevent cancer. Fourteen members compose the bureau, with several, including Mrs Mitchell, former Red Cross speakers. Mitchell will appear before groups in the west suburban area to present the society's program.
