Registration drive praised by precinct captains

The Brook field Post 2868 Veterans of Foreign Wars will meet at 8 p.m. on Thursday March 18 in the National hall to elect officers for the year. Diesel Post No 992 American Legion hosts an April Fool Dance at Melody Mill Ballroom North Riverside 2401 Desplainey Ave with Will Back and his Orchestra providing music and door prizes. Dance committee members Tom Adkins Mike Re Karl Spicer Ben Grunner Lee Fay and Bob Hendrik organize the annual event. Diesel Post No 992 is a new legion unit organized earlier this year.

Nancy and the Edward Feely post of the American Legion thank friends for attending last Monday’s 29th birthday celebration. A regular social night is set for Monday, March 22 and a baseball meeting, led by Ed Borman, is scheduled for Thursday, March 25 at 8 PM at the American Legion Hall for managers and prospective team enthusiasts.
