Arthur J Bucci died May 25 after a life in Brookfield where he ran a hard shoe repair shop on aid boulevard. Funeral services were at 9 o clock Saturday at St Barbara's on South Prairie with burial in Mt Carmel cemetery. Survived by his wife, daughters Angela and Louise, and Claudia Cafareli, along with several grandchildren.

Fifty ladies attended the eighth anniversary tea at Wesley circle of Brookfield Methodist church on May 25 in the church edifice. A history of the circle since its organization was presented by Mrs. Lillian Hennings. Mrs. Harry Gustafson read, and Mrs. Glen Person sang. Duets by Edward VanCurn and B. Whitehead with Mrs. Lawrence accompanied.
Brookfield Kiwanis Club will sponsor Kiwanis-Zoo Day on Thursday June 12 with an expected attendance of 1000. Reservations close June 4 per Stanley Land committee chairman. Kiwanians and children will dine on the plaza in front of the Hird House. Prizes include a monkey or raccoon for top attendance or furthest travel.
