West Towns argues bridges belong to village and not defendant
Attorney Goldberg contends the Salt Creek foot bridge and other spans are property of the West Towns. He notes the street railway company may sell the Brookfield and Des Plaines bridges and that trespassing users are employees’ foot traffic. The West Towns offered the bridges to county, forest preserve, and Brookfield, all declined. He suggests condemnation could acquire the old right of way with minimal cost and cooperative support.
