Brookfield veterans honor roll marked at year’s dedication

Brookfield dedicated a monument to veterans who died in service on November 9 with Frank Marsh leading the ceremony alongside former Mayor Charles Horak and AMVETS Commander Sproat. Wreaths graced a marble column bearing Brookfield Gold Star veterans. Local groups including the American Legion and AMVETS organized events and scholarships for Riverside Brookfield and Lyons Township high schools. Robert Morrow retired as West Suburban American Veterans Committee chairman. Bob Ries of LaGrange became head.
