District School Heads to Meet With Supt Olsen

Lyons township district superintendents and school principals will meet tonight with George S. Olsen and the LTHS department heads to advance the LaGrange coordinated instruction program. The program aims to create a continuous education path from kindergarten through fourth year of high school and reduce the eighth to high school transition. Elementary and high school teachers will review current results and plan further improvements to the program. The effort has been in operation for several years to align preparation across grades. In other news, Mrs. O A Rockhoff wife of Rev O A Rockhoff of St Pauls Lutheran church was reported recovering Wednesday morning with improved condition after a home inquiry.

Naming of Sapt joins national headmasters group

Sapt of LTHS has been selected for membership in the Headmasters Association a national group of heads and principals with limited public school membership. Three other Illinois members include Matthew P. L. Gaffney of New Trier Francis Leonard Bacon of Evanston and Eugene Youngert of Oak Park. Members meet yearly in February and the group does not advocate specific education programs.
