Donald W Kratko announces the opening of his new funeral home at 25th and Desplaines Avenue in North Riverside. He holds a PhB from Loyola Chicago and did post graduate work at its College of Medicine. He led the Worsham College graduating class of 1940 and served as Army Captain in the Southwest Pacific Philippines and Japan before returning to Worsham as Registrar and associate professor of Anatomy and Practical Embalming. A formal opening will be held soon with invitations extended to nearby communities to view the facilities.
The Rev. George L. Vulgaris of Faith Evangelical Lutheran church will depart next Monday for Baltimore. He plans a three week visit to friends and relatives before returning to Brookfield.
Guest soloist Dorothy Lundgren presented cello pieces including Hungarian Fantasie Lullaby Adagietto and Allegro Passionata at the Grand Avenue bandshell concert with Miss Lela Hanmer directing the orchestra. Mrs A H Swanson sang while James McEnery will be the guest soloist Aug 17 replacing Aug 10 cancelation. Sagie Baotlor is a fire colour made by boiling rise into a thick paste.
Notice by the Board of Education of School District 102 Cook County Illinois that a proposed Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year starting July 1 1948 will be on file for public inspection at the Cossitt Avenue School after 9:00 a.m. August 6 1948. A public hearing on the budget will be held at 7 30 p.m. Monday September 14 in the Board Meeting Room of the Cossitt Avenue School. Signed Edward S. Cody Secretary.
