Riverside High School Dedication Honors War Heroes
An April 15 dedication service by the Patrons' Council at Riverside Brookfield High School featured two ceremonies for students and adults. Rev. Vance D. Rogers of Brookfield Methodist Church gave the address, recounting his Fleet Hospital 103 experiences in New Caledonia and Purple Heart presentations. Porter Heaps performed organ numbers, while school officials accepted on behalf of the district. A roster of honored veterans and students was inscribed later on a permanent plaque. daylight saving time remarks and horticultural notes follow, alongside meat cooking tips.

Local bill mailing plan targets Thursday delivery
Miss Martin and a staff of special workers have been putting in more than a dozen hours a day since last Saturday preparing bills for mailing. They aim to have the first bills in the mail by Thursday evening with Miss Martin at the town hall office each weekday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. excluding Sunday.
