Notice announces two library meetings this Thursday evening to arrange the Live Stock Show slated October 4 to 7. Indiana Public Service Commission will hold a hearing September 27 on abandoning the C and ER railway at Attica with patrons expected to present evidence.
Notice to the public announces the purchase of the law office of Lawrence and Fitzpatrick by A D Babock. He will handle titles abstracts real estate probate matters and estate settlements. He will spend three days weekly in Brook with his son Dorr, reachable by telephone at 40 Goodland. He notes extended experience in Newton Benton and Jasper counties.

Raymond Merchant and Jarvis Davis left for Depew. Clifton Templin, also an honor student, could not secure work at Groancastie to cover expenses.
A large cattle shipment from Newton county to New York is completed with eleven cars sent this week and eighteen more planned for next Friday. The deal involves owners Lyons and Foresman and other local parties with prices around 9.10 to 8.75 per hundredweight. Also, Newton county seeks a county agricultural agent, with a petition filed by over twenty residents and a 500 deposit to fund a county agent. The Frank Holsher Meat Market closes and moves fixtures to Earl Park.

Newton County Farm Bureau invites all residents to the Annual Meeting and Fun Fest in Hazelden on Saturday September 17. The program features Mt. Ayr Boys Band, horseshoe tournament swimming events, water polo, distance swim, diving, a sack race, softball, basket dinner at noon, and a platform program led by W. T. Cory with a welcome to Hazelden.
Miss Edna Powell moves to Milwaukee for a new life. Mrs. Ray Greenwalt visits Aurora as does Mr. and Mrs. Bissig from Chicago. Nina Shilts resigns from D. Hess Sons. Pauline Lyons will replace her. Community gathers for fairs, races, and programs with American Legion support. Rev. Borkert to Bremen. Robinsod to replace.

It will be introduced as evidence at the Public Utilities Commission hearing in Attica next month amid chain-of-title transfers and taxation funding history.
Freeland Park, Benton county, sends high class players to Valley Forge park at noon Sunday September 8 to face Mt Ayr. Freeland has played fast ball all summer with few losses. Mt Ayr strengthens with two fast infielders and Eck back in the box. A notable game for fans.
