Produce trust suit filed in Fountain Circuit Court
Attorney General Stansbury sues six corporations and forty five individuals in Covington alleging a nineteen county produce trust controlling egg butter and poultry prices. A temporary restraining order and permanent injunction are sought under the anti trust law of 1907. Key defendants include Fountain Produce Company Fear Jacques Company and Fear Campbell Company Frankfort and several others with chief executive William C Jacques. The alleged operation has lasted over eight years with substantial profits and information gathered by special investigator H H Kayer.
