Illness and Death of Addison White in Brook

Mr and Mrs Ephie White learn their son Addison died after rheumatic treatment in Hot Springs Arkansas infection followed a tooth extraction. Addison, raised in Brook, served in the navy at Naval Training Stations. His funeral was held at the Christian church with Rev Dillman officiating and burial in Brook Cemetery.

Addison Truman White son of Ephriam and Rosa White was born January 21 1893 near Kentland Indiana He served in the U S Naval Service from July 1918 to June 1919 and died October 22 1920 in Hot Springs Arkansas He belonged to Brook Christian Church since 1906 and was a respected affectionate son in the home His death leaves his family including his mother father one brother and Miss Pauline Messman awaiting his bride to be with many relatives and friends.

Brook Team Defeated by Ladoga in Basketball Contest

Ladoga high school defeated Brook high school 29 to 13 at Ladoga Tuesday night. Ladoga led 13 to 6 at halftime as Brook used nine players in a bid to stave off defeat. In the curtain raiser the Peacock Specials beat Roachdale 11 to 3 and next Friday the Highland Wave land girls meet Ladoga girls.

New Richmond Five Defeats Brook Team in Close Tilt

New Richmond high school defeated Brook high school 22 to 11 at New Richmond. New Richmond led 14 to 1 at halftime as Burnett and Campbell starred for the winners while Park led Brook. Also notes visitors at Sunday gathering mix local families and relatives.

Community Halloween Masquerade On Brook Streets

On Monday evening November 3 a large Community Halloween Masquerade will be held on the streets of Brook. Masks are urged and events begin at 6:90 PM with a Grand Assembly on the street. At 7:30 PM the parade forms for the march to the Community Building where doors open at 8:00 PM. Big Balloons Cross Brook In Long Distance Flight

A Belgian flagged hot air balloon from the Belgica line crossed Brook near Orchard Lake and delayed near the Kindy farm. It dropped pamphlets and called for the pilots to identify Indiana and Indianapolis as it drifted northeast toward Rensaeler before fading.
