Proposed Hospital Building to Be Voted Nov 2
Goodland Hospital Committee outlines cost of a proposed county hospital. Voters will decide on November 2 at the regular election whether to incur a bond issue of 60,900 dollars to fund a 100,000 dollar hospital. Griggs pledges at least 40,000 dollars in site and gifts. The plan envisions a 30 bed county institution with a twenty year bond term and a small additional interest fund. Continued on page 5.

Sister in laws die on same day in separate homes
Wives of Amos and Abram Agate pass away on Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Agate of Brook and Mrs. Agate of Chicago died after long illness sparked by cancer. Both women, born abroad and raised in Illinois, were respected in their communities and remembered for charity and devoutness. Bakery Changes Hands and Carnival Announcement
Monday the Clark and Son bakery was sold to James Little who will take possession soon. The deal, pending for some time, was completed Monday. Mr Little plans to sell his truck and quit the drag business when arrangements allow. On Monday evening November 1 a Big Masked Street Parade will be held in Brook with a large program at the Community Building. Everyone is urged to walk in the parade and attend the program, geared for the young folks and to be held after business hours.

Marshal Neihlans supreme triumph Go and Get It will be presented at the Temple Theatre on Monday and Tuesday October 25 and 26.
