Lafayette District Missions Meet in Two Day Conference
The Home Missionary Society of the Mr E Church in Brook hosted the Lafayette district two day conference on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Bott opened the meeting with no idle moments, and meals and programs filled the schedule. A quartet from Brook High School performed with readings and songs by Helen Hershman, Mrs Paul Hanson, and the four Misses Virginia Lyons Irene Helstand Priscilla Warr Ruby Long. Mrs Ketcham of Muncie spoke on mission work in the south stressing Americanization and education, with emphasis on mountain and valley communities. Rev Crowder spoke on the Stewardship of Life. District Superintendent Daughtery and wife attended. The event showcased the broad work of the Women’s Home Missionary Society.
