Funeral from Goodland Lutheran Trinity Church conducted by Rev W H Storm interment in Goodland cemetery.

Mayor Shank Leads 8000 in Protest Over Utility Merger
A public demonstration led by Mayor Shank drew about 8 000 people from the city and nearby areas to oppose a merger of a 2317 200 000 company merging many electric utilities. The merger sought 21 000 000 in securities but the case showed 15 000 000 in property. Commission approval allowed 17 500 000 in securities with dissent by George Barnard. He asked followers to disperse quietly as several mayors and telegrams supported the fight.
