Auto collision wrecks one car in brief incident
A minor traffic crash involved a single vehicle with no injuries reported. Police said the wreck caused minor damage and prompted a routine investigation at the scene.

A separate local accident on Highway street last Monday involved Mrs Helstand driving a Ford and Mrs Walling in a heavy car. impact damaged both vehicles and left Mrs Helstand with two children aboard. Miss Flora Lyons who had been the guest of relatives for two weeks will return to her home in Indianapolis on Sunday and will be accompanied by Miss Ella Lyons.

The first Newton County election was held April 2, 1860. All Can Vote In State Election Absentee Ballots
Statewide voting rules allow any voter away from the city or unable to reach polls on September 6 to use absent voter ballots for the September 23 constitutional amendments.
