Shower for Miss Lela Warner Honors Infantile Paralysis Recovery

A Sunshine shower hosted by Mrs. Floyd Bagwell and others celebrated Miss Lela Warner who has shown rapid improvement after a bout with infantile paralysis eight weeks ago. Guests and gifts from local ladies and families attended a hot chocolate and cake reception.

Deer hunters and bob cat capture at Jones ranch

Bruce Bolander and Travis Wallis from Crosby county and Afton Snyder and Jake Duskey from Bronte hunted on the Jones ranch in Culberson county last week. They killed three deer a 7 point buck a 9 point buck and an 11 point yuck. A mother bob cat and a baby bob cat were also captured. The infant bob cat escaped confinement and caught a chicken at the Snyder home.

Anson Visitors Progress Sub Script with Old Home Town Paper

Mr and Mrs Joe Warner and their Anson family visited relatives and friends weekend. Mr Warner settled his account and settled the figures in advance with the old home town paper, and the paper thanks him for the gesture.

Thanksgiving B T U Party Returns to Blackwell

Blackwell residents hosted a B T U gathering on November 16 with co hosts Miss Ethel Hollingshead and Mrs. Dewey Nabors. The event featured Thanksgiving games and dessert, followed by a Mexican plate and place favors. The Shamblin home welcomed guests and reported some attendees returning from California and Arizona.

Dr and Mrs Parrott of Corpus Christi move back to Blackwell and plan to occupy the Parrott home once home of Dr and Mrs Reynolds. The Reynolds move to Mrs Hunt's residence. Friends welcome the Parrotts back to town.

Euterpean Club Holds November Meeting At President Home

The Euterpean Club met at Mrs. Austin Jordan’s home with co hostesses Mrs. I N Bryan Thursday November 18. President led business and former member Mrs Jack Stuart was admitted. Spanish American Folk song was studied and the program included a vocal duet Celinto Lindo I Mi Viejo Amor and piano solo La Paloma by Mrs W W Youngblood.
