The third annual Arkansawers gathering will draw up to 10 000 attendees next Sunday. Organizers praise rapid growth from the first modest event three years ago as crowds and programs expand with each year.
The Arkansaners announce a Third Annual Reunion with an elaborate program planned by Mesdames Holder Hawkins and others. Dr J D Sandefer will speak on The Place of the Home in Our American Life. The event welcomes all who wish to attend and honors Arkansans and friends of Arkansans.
The organization outlines an annual reunion kept under strictly Christian auspices, described as a Sunday Chautauqua open to all attendees. The program for this year is titled rich as cream. Details continue on page two.
A detailed schedule for the Arkansawers Reunion listing morning songs and addresses led by Mord Tucker and Dr. J. D. Sandefer, afternoon readings, vocal numbers, relic exhibit, and community speeches. Attendees are asked to bring lunches unless invited and to arrive in good spirits for a day of home state entertainment.
The Arkansaners reunion organizers prohibit cold drink stands on the grounds due to Sabbath observance. They will provide abundant pure ice water at no cost to attendees.
