The Divide area in An county forms the Divide Consolidated School district a vast tableland of thirty-six square miles nicknamed fertile as the Nile with ranch and farm homesteads dotting the landscape. It notes its educational ideals and history highlighting Miss J McLendon as a figure in the district’s past and present.
Fragmentary OCR notes show a May 14 mention of Lewis and Clark starting an exploration trip. A May 16 entry notes a "Peek-a-boo" shirt waist debut in 1900 and a Wild West show visiting on the 7th. A New York item lists Henry VITI's wife Anne Boleyn losing her head on 3556.
The Divide Consolidated School led by Superintendent J S Armstrong shows strong faculty harmony and student progress. Teachers include Mrs P R Elliott as principal and a well‑coordinated effort across both the boys and girls facilities with planned auditorium seating and updated furnishings.
The facility measures fifty feet by one hundred twenty feet facing south with eighteen well lit staff rooms and offices for the superintendent and principal. A prominent study hall adjoins a library arranged so the librarian can monitor the study halls through a glass partition. The library houses about a thousand volumes tailored to students.
A stranger visits Doixfra and asks to see the superintendent after a courteous greeting. The tale narrates the boy leading the visitor down the hall toward the superintendent as the encounter unfolds in the school scene.
