North Norton seventh grade graduates large rural Runnels county

The seventh grade graduation exercises for rural schools of Runnels county will be held at Ballinger Baptist church on Sunday May 23 at 3 o clock with graduates arriving at 2 30. Wool Experts Visit Coke County For Wool Scouring Study

J Wiley Christie of the Wool Division Washington and Stanley P Davis of Texas A&M and G W Cunningham of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association visited Coke County last week to collect wool samples for a scouring experiment. Ranches of Wilkins and Powell and R J Hickman were involved with sample collection while more ranches will be sampled. A & M College operates a modern wool scouring plant to process full fleeces and small representative samples for comparison.

Wool sample testing across Texas and Wyoming

The Wool and Mohair Division of the Bureau of Economics, Department of Agriculture, will send twenty five fleeces to Washington for scouring tests. Results will be compared with Mr. Davis's sample and the full clips from each producer will be tracked through trade channels to final wool distribution. The study is conducted in Texas and Wyoming.
