Soldier's Wife May Snow Enlist as a Member of WAVES
In Dallas Texas December 14 Commander Walbridge USN Ret District Director of Naval Officer Prominent announced that marital requirements for WAVES enlistment have changed and a surge of female applicants is expected. A married woman may join WAVES even if her husband serves elsewhere. if the husband is in the Navy the applicant may enlist in SPARS. The Office of Naval Procurement in Dallas seeks patriotic women to join the WAVES as new ships are launched and commissioned.
