W L Stevenson of Bronte died Friday December 8 1933 after seven months illness from cancer at his residence east of Tennyson. Born October 30 1862 in Sabine Parish Louisiana he moved across Texas and married Emma Victoria Williams in 1884. Survived by wife two sons J L Stevenson W S Stevenson three daughters Pearl Hammock Mae Hudspeth Luck Cook twenty grandchildren two great grandchildren and three brothers. He was a lifelong Christian who helped schools and churches and left a reputation for honesty and dependable debts paid.
