The family expresses gratitude for kindness and sympathy shown after the passing of husband father and grandfather W. J. Brock. They thank friends for deeds, luncheon provisions, ministers words, and comforting acts aiding their sorrow.
J C Hefly of Artesia New Mexico has taken over the Epperson tailor shop in Bronte from Mrs Mamie Epperson. Hefly reports years of cleaning and pressing experience and plans to settle in Bronte with his wife welcoming Bronte residents to a “mighty fine town.”
Last Sunday Bronte hosted the Novice team and won five to three. Battery for Bronte were Corley and Corley, while Toten and Huey pitched for Novice. Huey allowed thirteen hits as McDonald led Bronte with four hits. Next Sunday Bronte hosts Sheep-Herders on the 11th and Texan on the 18th, with another Novice game on the 25th.
Friday night event on the cabins lawn featured about three hours of singing and frolic. Awards went to lucky attendees who answered questions. Singers led various quartets, duets, and solos, complimenting a weekly radio feature on KO.G. to thrill listeners.
